SPEEDATA is meant for batch / large volume Data Entry work. AUTODUPLICATE - For city names, dates etc. .. MANUAL DUPLICATE - To duplicate fields , even partial fields from previous records. Using the right arrow key. MEMORY KEYS - Store & recall repeating items. Using F2 - F12 keys. AUTOINCREMENT - For vouchers , bank numbers etc. KEYBOARD OPTIONS : Keyboard can be changed to suit DE operators from UPTRON , HCL or a PC background. Using Ctrl-H , Ctrl-U. PREVIOUS Record displayed . MULTI FORMAT with CIRCLE & CHAIN options . MAX FORMATS = 9 per file. Operators with a PC or off line machine experience can very easily use the software. Formats are defined in the same way as in standard off-line data entry machines using dashes '-'. E.g. A--------N---------Y---------S----------E A field here is represented by "A--------" a letter followed by minus signs. The number of minus signs are one less than the length of the field. And the "A" represents the type of field. In this case an alpha field. The "N" represents a numeric field... One record consists of a single line as viewed in a Text Editor ( EDIT.COM in WIN9x/WIN2000/WINME).Here the data entry record is shown in a line in the same way as it is stored on disc. Access, and others store records in the same way but the data entry screen can have many variations.
