SOLO Typing Tutor Description

Solo Typing Tutor is a program for all ages that allows you to increase your typing speed. Its main goal is to teach you the technique of ten-finger touch-typing in order to type without looking at the keyboard. The program will require you to know your keyboard's type (standard, ergonomic, or notebook) and will show an on-screen monitor (which is the working area), and an on-screen keyboard that will show which key to press with which finger. You can adjust the font size, enable or disable animation, error sound, metronome, and the metronome frequency. The first thing to do before starting the lessons is to complete some warming-up exercises. You will have to type some exercises and the program will show the time elapsed and will calculate your typing speed. The program doesn't consider the errors on warm-ups. When you start with the lessons, the number of errors will be limited for each task. You will be also able to take breaks between exercises. The program includes one hundred lessons and the developer assures you to learn the ten-finger touch-typing technique in a week if you train five hours a day, or in thirty days if you train for an hour each day.
