Resistor Colourcode Decoder Description
The Standard EIA Color Code Table for resistors generally consists of the values for color bands from 0 to 9 of 0-Black, 1-Brown, 2-Red, 3-Orange, 4-yellow, 5-Green, 6-Blue, 7-Violet, 8-Gray, and 9-White. The Table also displays columns for Multiplier, Tolerance, and Coefficient figures. This standard table, that, in addition, lists "Gold", "Silver", and "None" with corresponding multiplier and tolerance figures, is used to indicate the values or ratings of electronic components, including resistors. To calculate a resistor value, say with 4 bands, for example, the third band’s multiplier usually multiplies the values of the first two color bands and the fourth band would represent the tolerance. A resistor with high tolerance may have 3 color band values. Using Resistor Colourcode Decoder, you will be able to decode, in an instant, all of your 4 or 5 band resistors, simply by inputting your values into the boxes provided. Or, if you need to color-code a resistor, you can input your values and the program will provide you with the correct color code. Resistor Colourcode Decoder is a virtual ready reckoner for resistor color-coding with an easy-to-use Windows-style interface where you can input your Band 1 and Band 2 figures, select your multipliers tolerance percentages, and you can also enable or disable 5 band mode. The program also finds the nearest E12 or E24 series resistor neighbor for you. Luis Sanchez Editor rating:
