Radio Farda Description

Radio Farda is a simple widget developed for the Yahoo! Widget Engine platform, which provides direct access to the Persian radio station, Radio Farda. It is quite simple to use by individuals with limited or no experience in software apps, since it doesn't include configuration parameters. The interface is based on a very small frame that you can move to any position on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor. Unfortunately, you cannot pause the stream or adjust the volume level. Thanks to the Yahoo! Widget Engine built-in preferences, you can set the frame to stay on top or below all the other windows, to ignore mouse events, and to prevent dragging. Furthermore, you can set its opacity level to a preset value, ranging from 20% to 100%. The gadget is light on the system resources, so it doesn't affect overall performance or interrupt user activity. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests, and the tool did not hang or crash. Unfortunately, the Yahoo! Widget Engine project was discontinued, so Radio Farda shall not be receiving further updates. Reviewed by Elena Opris, last updated on September 4th, 2013
