Rachis Description

Rachis is designed as an Open-Source and cross-platform software for the arrangement of entities in a hierarchical system, and an interactive key for the entities found in that system. The GUI is implemented using wxWidgets and porting to systems with a wxWidgets port should be trivial. Rachis has evolved from Taxabase. It is (re)-written from scratch applying the lessons learned in the development of Taxabase. In general terms the main goals are better integration with the host operating system, better file formats that can be easily imported into applications like spreadsheets, and plugin support.
