The interface of the program is very plain and simple to navigate through. Media can be imported into the queue by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed. In the list you can check out the name, duration, type, target and status of each file. Once you specify the destination folder and extension, you can initiate the encoding process. In addition, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the format, size, bit rate, frame rate, sample frequency rate, channels and others. Furthermore, you can disable audio and video, remove an item from the list, specify the start time, select or deselect all items, preview clips in a built-in media player, view file properties, and more. The video encoding application takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a step-by-step tutorial for novices, manages to quickly finish an encoding job and preserves a good image and sound quality. On the other hand, RM Files Converter crashed several times during our tests. when we tried previewing clips, accessing the help file and modifying audio settings. It seems that the tool has some compatibility issues with Windows 7. Plus, its interface is outdated. We suggest you look for something more advanced than RM Files Converter.
