REDIUM Description

The REDIUM VST plugin was developed to be a phase modulation synth. It makes metallic, noisy, science fiction sorth of sounds. Controls: WAVEFORM: selects the waveform of the main-oscillator (WN: white noise, PN: pink noise) A, D, S, R VCA: envelope generator for volume (attack, decay, sustain, release) VOLUME: controls the overall output of the synth A, D, S, R VCF: envelope generator for the filter (attack, decay, sustain, release) HP/LP: selects between a highpass or lowpass filter RES: resonance of the filter MODULATOR PITCH: The phase of the main oscillator is modulated by a sine-wave. This control sets the frequency of that sinewave (the pitch of the modulator is also relative to the pitch of what your playing). The scope visualises how the modulator affects the main oscillator (green line: modulator, yellow: main osc) HONE: centre pitch of the pitchshifter AMOUNT: amount of pitchshifting (when fully down, the effect is turned of) LFO: when this switch is on, the SPEED & DEPTH knobs control an LFO that sweeps the pitch around the hone frequency RING: adds ring modulation to the signal FREQ: pitch of the carrier frequency ECHO: adds echo (at it's maximum position only the echoes will be heard) TIME: interval between the echoes (maximum 1 second) REPEATS: number of echoes WAVESHAPER: Distorts the signal depending on a transfer function you draw by dragging the control points in the grid MIX: amount of waveshaping that is applied to the signal OCTA: crossfades the signal with a rectified copy of itself (creating a distorted upper-harmonic sound)
