Quran Reciting Description

Quran Reciting is a lightweight Vista gadget designed to help users listen to the religious text, Quran, right from their desktop. The book is being recited by famous readers, and you are allowed to select the preferred one. The gadget sports a clean and simple layout that offers only configuration settings to tinker with. Quran Reciting gives users the possibility to select the reader and chapter from a preset list. Basically, it proves to be extremely easy to work with this tool, as you only need to click on the “Listen” button and the application automatically lets you hear the audio version of the desired chapter. The lack of configurable settings can be good news only for rookies, as they can learn to set up the dedicated parameters on the fly. However, more experienced users may find it pretty inconvenient to work with an app that doesn’t offer support for advanced options, as you cannot adjust the volume and view the written text, just to name a few suggestions. During our testing we have noticed that Quran Reciting offers good sound quality. On the downside, the widget hasn’t been updated for a while, so it may cause compatibility issues on newer operating systems. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality. To sum things up, Quran Reciting offers a simple software solution when it comes to animating your desktop activity. It can be easily configured and installed by all types of users, regardless of their experience level. Reviewed by Ana Marculescu, last updated on December 2nd, 2013
