The Basic Edition is best suited for roaming Information Workers who don’t update information on their SharePoint servers; these users only require a read-only version of lists, documents and pictures. Using the threaded synchronization available these users can quickly download the latest information available from their MOSS or WSS3.0 Servers Features are available to allow the users to Drill down into SharePoint lists, document libraries and other site content with ease. When offline or online, documents can be opened for viewing purposes. The Basic Edition is also ideally suited to those users who want to build large consolidated views from SharePoint information, these consolidated views can exported to excel, PDF, html and other formats. The consolidated views can be created in grid or pivot form and can span information from multiple servers, site collections and sites within the collection(s). With support for hosted SharePoint as key design criteria, advanced data filters have been added which allow reading SharePoint information online or offline a greatly improved experience.
