PsKill Description

PsKill is a command-line utility that allows you to easily terminate processes on the local computer or remotely. It can be handled by experienced users, such as network administrators. Modern applications come with graphical interfaces and intuitive layouts for performing tasks in a simple manner. However, command-line programs usually give users more flexibility when it comes to options, allowing them to carry out a job on the fly. Furthermore, programs launched in Command Prompt dialogs do not require installation, so they can be easily run on any computer with minimum effort. Moreover, the Windows registry does not receive new entries, and leftover files are not kept on the hard disk after removing the program. PsKill is capable of terminating a selected process and its descendants. You can also specify login credential for a remote computer. There are no other options available through this tool. As we have expected, PsKill has minimal impact on system performance, so it doesn't interrupt user activity. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. All in all, PsKill offers a straightforward solution to terminating local or remote processes. Reviewed by Elena Opris, last updated on August 23rd, 2013
