Portable Webcam is a forthright application whose purpose is to stream webcam images in real-time, while also providing options for taking frame screenshots and saving them to your computer.Simplicity and portability inside a small packageWhile there is no shortage of such programs out there, this particular application impresses through ease of use and the minimalistic interface, in the attempt to keep things as simple as possible. Delivered inside a lightweight package, Portable Webcam has the advantage of portability, which means that it can be launched directly from a removable drive. Furthermore, it does not leave any fingerprints on the system's registry. Streams webcam images and take snapshots with just a clickWith ease of use as its main characteristic, this application automatically establishes a connection with the webcam your computer is equipped with, displaying real-time images within its main GUI. Unfortunately, the window is not resizable, so you cannot change its dimensions. There are no options to deal with and no menus whatsoever, just a plain window that encases the video stream, accompanied by two buttons. One of them is to access the 'Help' section, while the other enables you to take a frame snapshot from your webcam. Pressing it opens a new dialog where you can browse to the location where you want the application to save the captured image. Only the JPG format is supported.
