PhotoDream is a simple-to-use program that lets you apply several effects to your favorite image files. The interface of the tool is plain and simple to navigate through. You can open a picture by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. So, PhotoDream lets you apply many effects from several filters which involve lighting, stars, weather, gradient, colors, art, texture, edges and others. But you can also select one of the ten presets. All effects can be previewed before applied and you can even change the primary color in most cases. After modifications have been made, you can make additional changes or use the "undo" button to restore the picture to its previous state, but this function cannot be used two or more consecutive times. Once you are satisfied with the results, you can save the new image in the JPG or BMP format. PhotoDream takes up a moderate amount of system resources, includes a brief step-by-step guide and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. On the other hand, the program doesn't let you manually adjust effects in any way (e.g. more shadows, a different angle). So, you are bound to applying one of the predefined filters.
