PhoneticEye is a fuzzy text matching technology for finding matches that sound Similar to a given text string. PhoneticEye Library can be used for comparing text strings and determining how similar they sound, on a scale of 0 to 100. PhoneticEye is PRECISE, is easy to use, it provides similarity rankings to enable filtering & sorting of the matches and is scalable. Searching for names of people, places, companies, titles etc. is more user friendly if Phonetic search is employed. For example: exact string search can't find desired matches if you are looking for "Geoffrey" but you enter a spelling, say, "jeffry", even though the two sound similar.
