PgcDemux Description

PgcDemux provides you with an alternative to Vob, allowing the fast demuxing or video, audio and subtitle files in their elementary streams. Unlike VobEdit (which is capable of demuxing the entire VOB file), PgcDemux processes the file by PGC, using the IFO file that contains all the information about the DVD content. The application can demux DVD/VOB files and output M2V video, audio (namely AC3, WAV, DTS and MPA) and subtitle streams. The main interface of the program is simple, consisting of a single window that comprises all the options and features. No complicated menus are available and users don't have to deal with complex configuration options. PgcDemux comes with three different demuxing modes, allowing you to choose the one you prefer. The PGC mode relies on the IFO file for extracting data, enabling you to enter the number of cells and angles. The other two alternatives can carry out the same process based on the VOB ID or a single cell. PgcDemux is capable of demuxing video, audio and subtitle streams, while also generating a text file containing the cell times, a log file to record all your actions and a PGC VOB. Furthermore, it allows you to verify the audio-video delay prior to proceeding. Depending on the size of the input file, the process can take more or less time. The quality of the streams is normally preserved, should no error occur. PgcDemux is lightweight and intuitive enough to have beginners get accustomed to it from the first interaction. Delivering decent processing speed, it helps you demux your videos in no time. Reviewed by Mihaela Citea, last updated on December 4th, 2013
