ParGRES Description

The main goal of this project is to develop an open source software to efficiently process queries that involves large amounts of data. In the development are used database systems over PC clusters, and explore the data parallelism to acquire efficiency. This solution adopts simple parallel processing techniques together with the processing power of a cluster. Each cluster node executes its own PostgreSQL open source database system in order to achieve good performance in the processing of queries that are read intensive.
