Packetyzer Description

Packetyzer 5.0 is a network utility that captures, analyzes and provides useful packet information from different protocols. This is a great tool that captures packets from the network, you can specify the protocol to capture or allow incoming all the packets from all protocols to capture and analyze later. This great tool can be use for troubleshooting, analysis, software and protocol development. This utility captures from any network adapter and supports many advanced features to control the adapter and the arriving packets information. This network tool decodes more than 750 protocols, including IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN management frame, IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN, 802.1q Virtual LAN, 802.1x Authentication among them. The GUI is easy and friendly to user and it manages information separating in tabs so you can jump from one tab to another to see the information that you need to analyze. You can see the source and destination address and the summary of the transaction of each connection. On the Protocols tab you will see the statistics of all the protocols, theirs percentage of used, the amount of bytes and packets exchanged by each protocol. The Connections tab shows all the connections received trough the network adapter, by expanding its information will show the protocols used by that connection and for each protocol will show its percentage of use, and the amount of bytes and packets. Statistics tab will show general and 802.11 wireless protocol information, showing the amount of packets and statistics related to speed of the packets. The Wireless tab shows statistics wireless packets information (802.11); and the Capture Filter tab will allow you to view the available filters where you can also create, edit and delete filters. The installation process is very simple and easy to perform. The documentation is available in the Help file and includes support for the command line tools, included with the application.
