PWFind Description

PWFind is a lightweight and portable application that shows hidden passwords in applications using the Windows edit compounded by the "password flag". As installation is not an issue, you can drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run. It is also possible to move PWFind to a USB flash disk or similar removable device, in order to run it on any machine with minimum effort. What's important to keep in mind is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard disk after removing the tool. PWFind is wrapped in a plain and simple GUI that consists of a regular window, where you can use the drag-and-drop support to move the cross image over the window whose password you want to reveal. The key will immediately appear on the bottom part of the panel. Copying the password to the Clipboard is possible using the global hotkey or context menu entry. There are no other notable options available through this utility. PWFind does not put a strain on system performance, since it requires a very low quantity of CPU and memory to work properly. It has a good response time and doesn't cause the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Unfortunately, PWFind has not been updated for a long time.
