PS3Muxer Description

PS3Muxer is an intuitive and lightweight application that was specifically built to help you remux MKV files to an M2TS file format, which can be played on Sony PlayStation 3. Basically, the purpose of this program is to recompress the videos or audio tracks from an MKV file. It boasts a clean and straightforward interface, with all its main functions neatly displayed in the main window. Unfortunately, you cannot drag and drop the files directly into the main window, so you should use the built-in browse button. The main window is divided into two panes, with the first one displaying the video tracks, while the second offers direct access to the audio files. There are several dedicated parameters that can give you details about the video and audio files, such as track, delay, language and codec. Moreover, you can choose the FPS and AC3 bitrate from preset lists, as well as select the H.264 profile. PS3Muxer also gives users the possibility of splitting a file into multiple parts by selecting the optical disc storage media format, namely CD (700 MB), FAT32, DVD5 or DVD9. The application can work with the following audio file formats: AC3, MP3, AAC, DTS and PCM. Before proceeding with the remuxing process, you are required to specify a saving directory. PS3Muxer supports batch processing, which means you can add multiple files to the list to recompress simultaneously. Hotkeys are also available for simplifying the entire process, but they cannot be reassigned. All is all, PS3Muxer can be considered a reliable tool that packs a clean layout and useful features for helping you remux MKV files quickly and with minimum effort.
