Orbitron Description

Orbitron is a software solution designed to help you track satellites and view their positions at any time, while also providing a bunch of other useful details. The application may be quite difficult to use by the average user, despite the comprehensive help manual included in the package. Judging by its ease of use, Orbitron is especially addressed to astronomers or for weather tracking purposes. Both the interface and the list of features are impressively rich, so it may take some time to get used to them. The main window allows you to choose a desired location, zoom in or out, pick a location center or a given continent and define a satellite on track. At the same time, it enables you to select a satellite from a large database and play with its settings, such as visualization, location, satellite info, prediction setup or radio. Orbitron provides sun and moon tracking, but also the possibility to load up to 20.000 satellites using TLE files. Plus, it boasts a comprehensive database of cities and satellite frequencies, with dedicated tools to synchronize PC clock via NTP. It supports screen resolutions from 640x480 and full screen mode and also, a separate Windows screensaver is included in the installer. Orbitron works flawlessly on all Windows versions and doesn't slow down the machine at all, with a minimum footprint on computer resources. So all in all, it is one of the best satellite trackers out there and its feature list makes it twice better. You have to give it a try in order to assess its power.
