Notebook Math Two Description

Notebook Math One helps students develop their speed, accuracy, and confidence in multiplication and division. The problems to solve start out easy, and get a little bit harder with each new level. While solving the problems for a level, you will uncover a picture that can be printed. Main features: Teacher list: When licensed for school use, multiple classrooms can use the same copy of the program. A list of teachers is presented on the first screen, so that students can resume their work by selecting their teacher's name. Classroom roster: All children in a classroom or family are listed on the sign-in page. Students can resume their work by clicking on their names. Student data can be stored on a file server, so that the products can be run from any computer in a household network or in a school computer lab. Pictures and levels: Each product presents math problems in a set of increasingly difficult levels. Each level has a hidden picture that must be revealed by solving nine worksheets quickly and accurately. These pictures can then be printed, so that a student's progress can be posted on a classroom bulletin board or on the family's refrigerator door. Teachers and parents can install new pictures for the program to display. Worksheet: Math problems are displayed exactly as they might appear on a school worksheet. These worksheets can be printed, so that the skills gained from computer-assisted practice can be reinforced with paper-and-pencil drills. Addition: Students are guided through the process of finding an answer. Problems range from the review of single-digit math facts through multiple-digit problems with regrouping (carrying and borrowing). Subtraction: Regrouping by borrowing is emphasized in the subtraction problems. And again, students are shown the proper way to show their work in this task. They experience the correct problem-solving steps for computing differences. Completed worksheet: When they have finished a set of problems, students are presented with their graded worksheet. Correctly solved problems are marked with a star. Work that has been completed with speed and accuracy earns a reward; a small piece of the picture for that level is revealed. Diploma: At the completion of all of the levels, the student is rewarded with a handsome diploma which can be printed, signed and dated by a teacher or parent. This handsome diploma celebrates the student's achievement and rewards their hard work. Tracking: Parents and teachers can monitor the progress of their students. This report shows the current level and page number for each student in each Notebook Press product. This information can be printed. The classroom data is password-protected, and the file contents are encrypted for security and student privacy.
