Nostalgia Description

With the Advent of rich web services, the distinction between web and desktop applications is blurring. To demonstrate the power and flexibility of these services, we prototyped a rich internet-enabled application based on Yahoo! flickr using Microsoft's Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). We're also big flickr users, so we wanted an easy and elegant solution to get our photos online. Nostalgia does this and more, while also enhancing the flickr experience. Despite being a PROTOTYPE, Nostalgia is a feature rich application. While it doesn't address every scenario or WorkFlow related to flickr, it does solve a Photographer's immediate needs quickly and efficiently. Nostalgia allows you to search flickr remotely and create local sets from the photos you discover. It also supports local photo management and synchronizes to your flickr account, allowing you to update your online photos as well. Don't have a flickr account? Never fear. You can still browse and explore flickr's extensive photo collection.
