NetStream Vision Description

NetStream Vision will provide SkyStar 2 TV card owners with a server-client application that enables stream sharing within a local area network. Both the PCI and USB editions of the TV card are supported, thus you can quickly start streaming the HD signal to other connected PCs within your network. The SkyStar 2 TV card comes packing a bundle of top-notch features including EPG (Electronic Program Guide), DVR (Digital Video Recorder), Timeshift, Freesat Digital or TechniRouter-ready. This enables you to rapidly get detailed information regarding the upcoming TV shows, record your favorite segments while playing them back simultaneously as well as transmit a batch of TV and radio channel to a receiver of your choice through a single signal cable. What NetStream Vision does is turn the computer running the server-side component into a multi-channel streaming media center that constantly broadcasts selected and even all the TV and radio channels it receives from the TV card to client groups. Thus, the utilized bandwidth is lower than expected and the number of connections as well as signal quality are only limited by the actual network speed. This particular piece of software multicasts the channels at low-latency, thus clients can benefit from HDTV support and crystal-clear radio stations. While running on various bandwidth networks, NetStream Vision developers recommend a typical 100 Mbps LAN or higher in case of intense traffic generated by a large number of clients. The server setup does not require the latest technology, as the TV card runs smoothly even on older processors and decent amounts of system memory. However, you need a 3D-capable graphics card to ensure a continuous qualitative video stream. The simple client application requires you to select the network adapter, multicast address as well as the port in order to connect to the server. All in all, being only limited by the presence of the SkyStar 2 TV card and the network speed, NetStream Vision instantly delivers high-definition TV and radio entertainment within your LAN with no high demands when it comes to server resources and it only takes little of your time to get it configured and started.
