MyKits Description

MyKits is a state of the art MIDI mapper designed by and for today's electronic percussionist. MyKits utilizes the latest graphic user interface technology, thus providing a very easy to use GUI. It is the most powerful and easy to use performance environment ever created for the electronic percussionist and will allow you to do things that you have only dreamed of and some that you never imagined. Main features: Full GUI editing for all settings including on screen keyboards for entry of MIDI notes and sliders for entering values. Consistent and easy to learn user interface. All commands are button driven, no searching through multiple menus. The program is totally skinable and comes with 12 different skins. The example screens show several of these. Tab driven UI. You can always see where you are and easily get to where you want to be. Four independent MIDI streams giving the user the ability to use up to 4 separate MIDI controllers with output to four MIDI devices giving you a total of 64 channels. These maybe any combination of internal (VST or stand alone synthesizers) or external MIDI modules. Integrated with VSTHost, the most powerful and efficient VST hosting program on the Windows platform. This gives you the easiest access to the VST instruments on your computer. Unlimited number of instruments, kits and songs. Well not really unlimited but you can have up to 2^32 of each of these so.... You can assign as many note lists to a single MIDI pad as you like (well, see above). A note list can have as many notes as you wish (same) with extensive control over velocity, duration, switching between notes and much more. You can map continuous controllers and velocity to one or many control outputs. Make a notes velocity control pan or pitch bend or both. When entering and exiting a kit you may program any MIDI commands you desire. Set a channels pan, volume, send program changes, send a note to trigger a loop, whatever. Full context sensitive help guiding you every step of the way. Designed for performance. On stage switching between songs and kits is done by hitting user defined pads. One pad takes you to the next kit, one to the previous and so forth. Once you load a set no computer keyboard or mouse interaction is necessary.
