MultiTabber (formerly Multi-Tabber) Description

In case you are required to work with multiple applications at the same time and keep your attention split between different processes, it can become difficult to keep track of all that is happening, especially if your desktop is cluttered with a large number of windows. Create handy virtual desktopsMultiTabber is a software utility that enables you to create virtual desktops on top of your already existing one, in order to improve efficiency and allow you to perform multitasking operations much easier. In addition, the application allows you quickly switch between them, either by using your mouse, or a keyboard shortcut. Virtual desktops are capable of holding different programs open at the same time, without interfering with each other. Thus, you can personalize them according to your preferences and give them specific functions, as well as employ different window arrangements. In addition, it is possible to add up to 10 desktops at a time, although you should not forget that the actual applications are still consuming system memory in the background, regardless if they are in separate desktops. Personalize the color scheme and adjust the tab orientationTo better integrate the utility within your own environment, you are allowed to change its color scheme and personalize its appearance. Thus, whether you want to change the tab fill color, or the indicator nuance, you can simply click on the desired color from the provided spectrum. Alternatively, it is also possible to view the RGB and HEX values of the selected color, in case you want to use them outside the application. As far as the actual positioning of the graphical elements on your desktop is concerned, you can use the configuration settings window to increase or decrease the number of virtual desktops, as well as change the tab orientation. The latter's horizontal and vertical alignment can be manually adjusted, depending on where you want to display the GUI. A lightweight, but powerful application managerAlthough MultiTabber does not excel when it comes to the number of available features, the ones it does offer are very useful and powerful. Thus, the virtual desktops it creates can be successfully used to switch between workspaces, as well as multitask much more efficiently.
