Moovastar Description

Moovastar can display stars, sized proportional to their apparent magnitudes, and can create a composite image with estimated stellar motion; the color progression illustrates each star's position at a certain time, not its expected stellar evolution or changes in brightness caused by radial motion. Moovastar is built on top of the Bright Star Catalog, which contains over 9000 stars with apparent magnitudes up to 6.5. To compute stellar positions, either in the future or past, Moovastar uses a star's observed proper motion as recorded in this catalog. It doesn't use radial motion, so it only calculates the positions perpendicular to the line of sight. You can choose a region of the sky, as defined by declination and right ascendant, set the limiting magnitude and set a time sequence (time step, number of steps, and step interval).
