Mobile Meter Description

Developed for the Google Desktop platform, Mobile Meter is a lightweight gadget that uses information from your system and displays on the desktop the current battery lifespan, together with the Wi-Fi signal, current resolution and whether your notebook is plugged in or not. After a brief installation operation, Mobile Meter is automatically built into the Google Desktop sidebar. But you can undock it and use the mouse cursor to move the frame to any position on the screen. The battery meter is green if your laptop has enough power and gradually turns to yellow and red, as the power decreases. Plus, you can check out the percentage of the current power level. Unfortunately, Mobile Meter does not integrate configuration options of its own. For instance, you cannot double-click the screen resolution value to change it via the system tools. However, thanks to the default settings provided by Google Desktop, you can zoom into the frame, hide or collapse it, as well as make it stay on top of other windows. Mobile Meter does not interfere with the runtime of other active processes, since it uses a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It is stable and does not cause Google Desktop to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. All in all, Mobile Meter represents a stylish method to viewing some of your notebook's information and, by making it stay on top of other windows, you can monitor system power at all times.
