Microsoft Map Point allows users to view, integrate and edit most recent maps of Europe. It is intended for business use, since it includes technologies for data analysis, demographics data and statistics. There is also an API that can be used to make add-ons for MapPoint. Maps are very customizable: business data, sales areas, potential customers demographics, all can be set and modified according to the user's needs. The program also supports GPS data, the information can be send to any GPS device that imports .gpx files. An option to calculate drive times, trip expenses and the mileage is useful for transport business allowing detailed planning and mapping for various routes. There is also support for Microsoft Office, the data can be integrated in documents and presentations, or can be imported from Microsoft Excel files .A Visual Basic for Applications interface allows running automated tasks in Map point, very useful for simulations. System requirements for Map point are: PC with 300 Mhz Processor or faster, Windows 7, Vista, XP or Windows Server 2003, 1 GB RAM ( 2 for Windows 7) and 1.9 GB space on hard disk.
