Metroid Games Description

Editor's review: Fancy yourself floating around the universe in your space shuttle equipped with all sort of state of the art technology, discovering never-seen-before territories in the process and battling your way out through hostile civilisations? To be honest, there are probably half a million of games in existence based on this theme alone. And to make things even worse, a majority of these games fails so miserably in terms of providing the gamers something new with their offering that they almost become indistinguishable from one another in terms of their appearances, feel and playing-set up. But that’s certainly not the case with Metroid Games 1.0, from the house of Mario City Games. Metroid 1.0 has been developed by a team of young and amateur, but highly creative developers who built the game on the same theme of “Space Traveller”, but with a much different approach. The game has outstanding graphics, in spite of the fact that it hardly comes in hard on your system resources. In fact it could well be the one with the most outstanding graphics amongst all other Metroid fangames previously unveiled by the Mario City. Your prime objective in this game is to roam throughout the space and discover newly seen planets in the galaxy. Sounds easy, but on ground zero, it hardly comes any closer to be suitable for that title. Especially not when hostile civilisations equipped with all kinds of advanced “alien technologies” are desperate enough to stop you from accomplishing your mission. You can increase your fire power by collecting bonuses. The game is totally free, and does not cost you even a penny-of course that comes as an added bonus to this , otherwise still quite magnificent of a game. To conclude with, Metroid definitely succeeds to provide an entirely new experience on an age-old theme. Hence it gets a score of four rating points out of five. Publisher's description:
