Mendel is a numerical accounting program to track genetic change over time. This is a user-friendly program which models the accumulation over time of mutations within a population - as it is affected by numerous biological parameters. Mendel's Accountant is a biologically realistic, forward-time, parallel, numerical simulation program which models genetic change within a population, as it is affected by selection and mutation. Requirements: ￭ Mendel requires the installation of four free software packages: Internet Explorer 6.0 or later (Firefox will not work correctly), Apache 2.2.3 Webserver, Gnuplot, Perl 5.0. With the exception of Internet Explorer, these are all included in the full distribution of Mendel.
