MP3Ext Description

Viewing and editing MP3 information usually require a dedicated app created in this regard, but MP3Ext is here to make everything a lot easier. The application thus allows users to access MP3 information just like they normally do when trying to view the attributes of any other file stored on the hard-disks. Just right-click an MP3 file, hit the “Properties” option and you shall see a new “MP3-Info” tab that holds all the info you need about the selected item. The new screen shows total time, number of files, bitrate, frequency, size, layer, file name, but also lets you edit ID3 tags and the available fields, which include song name, artist, album, year, genre and comment. What’s more, the app can export the information to a separate file, while also offering advanced tools to quickly edit multiple MP3 files at the same time. A faster way to view MP3 information is available too, as it’s basically enough to simply move the mouse cursor over an MP3 file and wait for the tooltip to appear. The highly-customizable tooltip can also display plenty of details, including bitrate, mode, time, frames and ID3 tags. MP3Ext doesn’t hamper system performance at all and works smoothly on Windows 7 too, with both 32- and 64-bit versions supported. Overall, MP3Ext makes for a great Windows Explorer enhancement that proves extremely handy for all those who want to keep their MP3 collection perfectly organized.
