MP3 Rename Description

As the name of this software application implies, MP3 Rename allows you to change the name of your MP3 audio tracks, according to the rules that you define. It comes with a wide range of renaming patterns. This is a portable app, so installing MP3 Rename is not necessary. It means that you can store the tool on a USB flash drive or any other removable device, plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. Therefore, you can always carry MP3 Rename with you when you're on the move. What's more important is that the Windows Registry is not updated with new entries, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal. The interface of the program is based on a standard window where you can import items into the file list by using either the file browser, tree view or 'drag and drop' method. Renaming multiple entries at the same time is possible. The file queue shows the location of each item. So, you can change the case, turn underline into blank, or write a separate file called 'RenamingRules.txt' and apply it directly. Furthermore, you can use the ID3 tag information to rename files, unpack archives and rename them, change the brackets around remixes, replace the text between two words, move, copy or insert string to a specific position, assign folder names to the filenames, and so on. The program runs on a moderate amount of CPU and system memory, is pretty responsive to commands, and renames files briefly. No error dialogs have been displayed throughout our testing and MP3 Rename did not freeze or crash; we have not come across any issues.
