MP3 Archiver Description

MP3 Archiver is a program that will help you to organize and archive the MP3 files you have stored on your computer. This program will search and find any .MP3 or .WMA file in the folders that you indicate, and then will copy those files into a new folder. The files will be stored in new folders, with the names of the artist, and, inside that folders, into new folders with the titles of the albums. All this information will be taken from each song´s ID3 tag. This way, you will automatically organize your messy collection of songs. After checking if everything is OK, you can delete the original files, and keep just the organized folders. MP3 Archiver is an open source Windows application written in C#. The program does not have an installation process. The zip file contains the executable file and a .DLL, that is all that you will need to run the application. If the program has any problem when copying the files, it will warn you about this, and will put a log of the problems in a .TXT file, in a new folder. The files with problems will then be copied to another folder as well. During the testing of this program, it had trouble with many files because the program detected that they were open by another program. That was not true, and the files were correctly copied.
