Lyrics Plugin for Windows Media Player Description

Lyrics Plugin for Windows Media Player is a handy plugin to have around when you want to sing along with your favorite band or artist. Once installed, the plugin automatically finds and displays the lyrics of the songs that are being played using WMP. The plugin is lightweight and takes up almost no system resources so you won’t have to worry about it affecting playback performance. Interface wise, there is practically none to speak about. During audio playback, the plugin displays the track artist, name and three buttons that you can use to add lyrics, search for them online or open the plugins’ configuration window. Adding the lyrics to a song is a task anyone can do. You simply play the track in Windows Media Player, click “Edit” and enter the lyrics along with the song title and artist name. The plugin creates an association between the song and lyrics and keeps it memorized. Now, whenever you play that song, the lyrics will be displayed. In case you don’t have the lyrics handy, you can use the plugin’s built-in search feature and find them online. The search tags are the tracks title and artist name and in case they are not entirely correct, you can edit them from inside the plugin. As far as plugin configuration goes, you can change the text and background colors, font size and style, as well as the text alignment. It’s not a lot, but all of them are useful settings. The unpleasant thing about Lyrics Plugin for Windows Media Player is that it doesn’t display the lyrics when you switch to full screen mode but it’s still better than reading the words from a separate browser tab.
