LxCopy Description

LxCopy is designed as a simple command line tool but offers various opportunities for the safe and easy backup of data bases, servers and workstations. On the other hand, as an "Open File Agent" it offers many chances for admins to perform fast backups of the whole system or of data bases that are in use before making important changes. LXcopy has its own Open-File Technology. LXcopy is able to copy files of the operation system, such as the Registry or other files that are in use or exclusivly locked files such as data bases (SQL, Exchange, etc.) This procedure can be run while the data is in use, without ending the tasks or processes. By this feature LXcopy is able to create complete copies of the system, e.g. on a new disc. This image is even bootable. In opposite to other Image-programmes LXcopy works logically, so the copy can directly be read by the Windows Explorer. These features provide many opportunities for LXcopy. There are almost no limitations for your security requirements. With LXcopy you can set up your complete network-backup simply, fast, at reasonable costs and absolutely flexible! You can run the complete system-backup of your servers, workstations directly with LXcopy in a batch-mode. Just enter a planned task on the machine and save all data on a disc or a share. By the Sync-Mode of LXcopy only at the first backup all data has to be copied, afterwards LXcopy synchronizes only the changes to the backup-medium. Within seconds you can have access to your data. With the synchronize-function of LXcopy network-ressources can be synchronized automatically with local ressources. LXcopy synchronizes the source to the target i.e. the target becomes the image of the source. LXcopy is a brilliant tool for the migration of computers/servers to a new hardware. Just copy the operating system and the data to the new discs or use LXWinBoot and execte everything on the network.
