LogCmd Description

The LogCmd application was designed to be a small program that will allow to log data from the command-line prompt or a batch file. Data logging may be directed, depending of the type of events, to the NT event log, to the screen, to the printer or to an external program, for instance to send a notification. Destination of logging for each event type is defined at installation time. The Common Logging Facility for NT module handles data logging for system programs developed internally. The module will log an application-defined message plus the following information: - Date and time - Machine Netbios name - Machine IP name - Machine IP address - User name - Logon server - Last function and return code - Last system error - File name and line number
