Lockscreen Pro is an easy-to-use Windows app that locks your screen with a password and logs any failed or successful logins while you're gone. It comes in handy when multiple people have access to your computer. Installation is not a requirement, which makes Lockscreen Pro portable. You can drop the executable file to any place on the hard disk and just click it to run. There is also the alternative to save the program to a flash disk or similar device, to be able to run it on any PC effortlessly and without previously installing anything. What's more, the tool does not create new entries in the Windows registry or Start menu, leaving the HDD clean after removal. The clear-cut interface is made from a window showing three buttons to locking the computer, viewing photos of successful and failed login attempts, as well as to settings configuration. Before locking the screen, you should know the default password is "admin". It is possible to change it, show the battery, clock and photo background in the interface, set the screen to dim after several minutes, minimize all windows when locking, trigger the screen to lock when the mouse moves, as well as set a key combination for locking. In addition, Lockscreen Pro can be set to unlock the screen with a USB, exit after unlocking, take photo of failed, successful login attempts or both, and so on. Settings are immediately applied with the click of a button. The tool has a minimal impact on computer performance, as it uses low CPU and RAM. It is very responsive to commands and works well, without triggering Windows to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. We have not come across any issues in our tests.
