"Leap into Language 2" is divided into eight sections: 1. Rhyming Words 2. Alphabetical Order 3. Writing Poetry 4. Whale NoteBook 5. Journal (Days of the Week) 6. Dictionary 7. Concept Words (Up, Down, Beside, etc.) 8. Just for Fun - Rhyming Words: The user learns reading strategies in the context of rhyming poems. Finding rhyming words and parts of words with assistance from animated sea creatures make learning these reading strategies fun. - Alphabetical Order: Ordering with first and second letters. - Writing Poetry: Students select words to create their very own CopyCat poem and cinquain. - Whale Notebook: Focuses on reading for information. A quiz follows. - Journal (Days of the Week): Penny the Puffin? keeps a journal of her whale-watching journey. The journal is written at two different levels.
