LazySync Description

LazySync was designed to be a pure-Java file-synchronization program that uses the SavaJeXE Java operating system. It is a compact applicatio that can be useful if you need to synchronize data from your computer with a remote device through a network connection. When a file is located on the remote PC, but does not exist on the handheld, LazySync must determine if the file is new or has been deleted from the handheld. To accomplish this, LazySync maintains a log of the last synchronization (last sync data). This log is a list of files encountered on the handheld, and is stored remotely on the LazySync server. Main features: Pure Java client & server: Client & server can execute on any Java-enabled platform. Requires only a TCP/IP network connection between host and handheld: LazySync uses it's own unique protocol that does not rely on HTTP or SMB (aka Web Server or Samba client). Swing-based handheld client enables one touch synchronization. Easy installation of new files to handheld: Simply copy the required files/directories to an appropriate location on the local PC and LazySync will automatically copy the file to the handheld upon the next synchronization. Multiple synchronization directories: The LazySync server will automatically handle multiple handheld synchronization folders. Compact: The LazySync distribution currently weighs in at about 20K.
