Kindle Sync Description

Nowadays, having bookshelves full of heavy tomes has been replaced with having an e-reader with a full library. Kindle Sync is a tool that can help you upload e-books to your device. The software comes with a simple interface that’s extremely easy to figure out, no matter how inexperienced you are. The Kindle reader must be connected to the computer in order for the app to work and it reminds you this constantly. First, you must define a path for the local library, the place where all the e-book files are stored. All the books found in the user-defined folder can be seen in the interface. The items are displayed complete with title, path and MD5 details. In order to transfer the files to the e-reader, you must simply press the “Send to Kindle” button. Depending on the size of the files and the number of documents you want sent to your Amazon device, the process can take anything from a few seconds to a few minutes. The app displays both the progress of each file and of the entire task. Despite the fact that Kindle e-readers can read many file formats, such as AZW, MOBI, PDF, TXT, KF8 and DOC, Kindle Sync only recognizes PRC files. The software can be set in only two languages: English and Portuguese. Overall, Kindle Sync is a nice app, but extremely limited due to the fact that it can only upload a certain file format. On the other hand, the program is easy to use and doesn’t require any installation. Reviewed by Gabriela Vatu, last updated on December 28th, 2012
