KillSwitch Description

Running lengthy scans of your computer at night might be time efficient, but it also means there are chances your computer is still on in the morning. However, there are various programs available, such as KillSwich that can help you close down your PC after a certain time has passed. KillSwich is a light app that allows you to schedule your PC to enter standby, hibernate, restart or shut down. The software comes with a simple interface, including the four buttons for each of the aforementioned tasks, a date and time form and a progress bar. To program an action you must choose the day by clicking on the calendar and input the desired time. Then, you must simply click on one of the buttons at the top of the interface (Shutdown, Standby, Hibernate, and Restart) in order to define the action you want to occur. Also, if the Hibernate function isn’t available, the app can automatically change it to “Standby”. This can happen if, for example, you have the hybrid sleep mode turned on or you’ve run the Disk Cleanup wizard, which is known to remove important Hibernate files to free up disk space. This issue is most common for Windows Vista or 7 users. The progress bar that tracks the time left before the app runs the required task comes packed with play and pause buttons that enable you to delay the task and resume it at your own pace. KillSwitch is a light tool, with a friendly interface that should be easy to use by anyone. The layout is intuitive and the features of this app shouldn’t be a problem to figure out.
