KarmaDbi Description

KarmaDBi is a user customizable web based interactive SQL interface. KarmaDBi allows users to manage easily connections to various databases & switch easily between them. It provides many time-saving features including; listing database objects, finding specific objects, and viewing the schema for database objects. It also enables you to run, re-run and save/recall frequently run queries as well as access a history of your most recently run queries. KarmaDBi provides both developers and business analysts an easy to use SQL interface to their RDMS data stores and features query retention, connection management and database schema browsing. KarmaDBi allows users to access multiple database across your network or on your local PC. Installation Instructions: Installation: You must be in the directory you want to install this in. Then run the following, and follow the installation instructions : java -jar karmadbi.jar Install your specific database driver files in /karmadbi/lib Adding/changing driver information: (if necessary) Use the application itself for this, via the Setting -> DB Driver setup Note: We have provided links to specific jdbc drivers on the Drivers page. Installing key: Open the karmadbi.properties file (in the /config) Replace "KEYGOESHERE" with your key on this line: initParam karmadbi karmadbiKey KEYGOESHERE Note: See the Key Generation page to generate your own personal License Key for your server. Running server: On Windows, as Windows Service: cd /bin Install-KarmaDBi.bat Then, either restart your machine and service will start automatically, or you can run services.msc from "Run..." window - select KarmaDBi and start it manually from then on when you restart your machine KarmaDBi will automatically start. On Windows, as Windows application: cd /bin run.bat On Unix, as Unix application: cd /bin run.sh Using karmadbi: Access KarmaDBi via (where SERVER is machine you install on): http://:9654/karmadbi/ Main features: Web based database interface SQL and query management and retention Supports all JDBC compliant interfaces such as Mysql, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, etc. Platform independent - Runs on Windows; XP & Vista or Linux; Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc. Multiple connection management Database schema browser Field look up Schema display Multiple format output support for HTML, XML, Excel, etc. User level auditing
