KAR Energy Saver is the software which drastically reduces the power consumption of your computer, laptop or server until 30% in 2 different ways: · By reducing the frequency of the processor (has nothing to do with the CPU cooling) · By putting the computer into standby (still putting the PC to sleep when a program prevents it) This software is able to manage the power consumption of the computer by controlling the frequency of the processor to the actual use made by the user. It activates on Intel C1E and EIST features necessary for substantial energy savings. On AMD processors, it can handle the Cool and Quit. Windows does not support EIST or C1E unless one goes through the BIOS. Otherwise it is not possible whereas with the software, you can activate these two functions from Windows. It can put the screen in standby after a while (with Seven a password is required, whereas with the software, this constraint does not exist) and can put the computer in standby if not used also. On Windows, the automatic shutdown of the computer does not work very well because it does not take into account the non-use process.
