Junction Link Magic Description

Manage system junction points providing symbolic links to remote folders by generating new ones, managing, modifying, removing, cloning, replacing and renaming them, checking the list of all available points, etc. The utility works with NTFS file systems. Junction Link Magic allows the user to create junction points on Windows XP, 2000 and 2003. If there are any junction points, then this utility shows them. Any operation required on junction points can be done like modifying or removing them. Generally, junction point belongs to a special category of Reparse points that are normally of 3 kinds. One is symbolic links, which in a file system act as a shortcut to any file. The second one is Junction points, which have a pointer to a single folder only. The third one is Mount points, which are used for pointing a whole disk. It is also a folder present on the disk. This unique utility is a set of all the reparse points and with the help of that any junction links can be easily created or deleted. Now coming to what this junction point is, on a single computer putting one folder inside another is junction point. It helps in removing cluttering. It is used largely in Windows OS and is completely invisible to the programs. A big disadvantage of Windows is that, no junctions can be created here.
