Indexer Status Gadget Description

The Indexer Status Gadget was designed to display the status information for the Windows Search indexer. It also allows you to pause and resume the indexer as well as quickly access the Indexing Options control panel. If you have installed the Windows Search 4 update for Vista (currently a "preview" release) you can also enable "Index Now" functionality. Main features: Monitor the current state of the indexer See how many items need to be processed View the total count of indexed items Stop and start the indexing service Open the Indexing Options control panel View the installed Windows Search version number Multiple backgrounds / color combinations
