ImageHide Description

ImageHide is an application that lets you hide text messages in images, so you can safely share them with your friends. This is a portable software, so installing ImageHide is not necessary. It means that you can place the tool on an external device, plug it into any computer and directly run its executable files. What's more important is the fact that your Windows registry keys will remain unchanged. The interface of ImageHide is plain and simple. You have limited options at your disposal. Images can be loaded via the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported (and neither is batch processing). So, you can use the area below the image to write text, as well as encrypt it with a password and save the image (in the BMP or PNG format). Plus, you can print the picture. In order for another user to be able to read the hidden text, he must have ImageHide on his computer. The application requires a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and includes a brief help file with guidelines. ImageHide did not freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. However, the encryption didn't work at all in our case. We tested ImageHide on both Windows 7 and XP and we were able to read data without having to input the password.
