ImTOO DVD to iPod Suite is a software suite represented by two separate programs - ImTOO DVD Ripper and ImTOO iPod Movie Converter, tools which allow you to encode DVDs and other video formats, such as AVI, ASF, MOV, WMV and FLV. The apps comes with user-friendly interfaces in which you can import media by using either the file browser or the "drag and drop" method. Batch processing is allowed. In the list you can check out the name, duration, output profile and size, chapters (in case of DVDs) and status of each file. So, all you have to do is set the output format and extension, in order to proceed with the encoding process. In addition, you can modify audio and video preferences regarding the size, quality, codec, bit rate, frame rate, zoom, aspect ratio, sample frequency rate, channels, volume, and others. Furthermore, you can disable audio, split videos and set the output filename, as well as preview clips and take snapshots. But you can also select individual DVD chapters for processing, select the audio and subtitle stream, as well as hide unidentifiable items. On top of that, you can enable the programs to run in the background, set post-task actions (e.g. exit application, turn off computer), customize the CPU core number, use a bit rate calculator, change the interface skin and language, and more. Both pieces of software take up a pretty high amount of system resources, include brief step-by-step guides for novices and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. Videos are quickly converted and the image and sound have a very good quality. We highly recommend the ImTOO DVD to iPod Suite to all users, no matter what level of experience they have.
