prev next IE Password Revealer does exactly that – it reveals the passwords behind the asterisks in Internet Explorer log-in pages. It can “batch-reveal” all your hidden passwords, as long as all the required log-in pages are active at the time of clicking on the “Reveal Passwords” button. Then, the program will offer you the possibility of saving all the recovered passwords as a convenient TXT file for future use. Unlike other password recovery tools, this program merely reminds you of passwords that are still valid and usable. It is not that you cannot log in into a webpage or open a document, but that you would like to know what is behind that password that you do not remember any more because you stopped typing it long ago. It works in conjunction with Internet Explorer’s Autocomplete function, which should have been activated at the time of entering the password for the first time. If you want to recover (or be reminded of) more than one password at once, you will need to visit all the different log-in pages and keep them open. The program will list all the passwords it could find in the various websites together with the name of the page they were taken from. The “Trail” (sic) version used to write this review reveals only the last character of the password, but there is no reason to believe that this is the only character in the string it is capable of reading.
