If you are looking for a tool that can help you mix songs like a professional DJ, then this may be the perfect app for you. FutureDecks Lite comprises a decent pack of features for dealing with such a task. Although the user interface is clean and all its functions are neatly displayed in the main window, a help file would have been useful for describing the functions of each audio parameter. The application provides a two-panel interface with two decks, a mixer and playlist. You can manually adjust the audio parameters or opt for an automatic mixing process. It also includes an automatic BMP counter, or you can specify the value in the dedicated dialog. You can drag and drop the files directly into the main window, add an entire folder to the list, and import the iTunes library or playlists. Once you have added the files to the list, it is possible to load them into one of the two decks, edit the file info, remove an item from the list or clear it entirely, and remove the dead files. As a major drawback, the program can only work with a single file format, namely MP3. Playlists can also be imported, provided that the file format is FDL or M3U. FutureDecks Lite provides several dedicated parameters for mixing the songs, as you can adjust the song speed, create loops, reset the pitch, skip a beat, and apply several effects (e.g. autopan, flanger, delay, echo). The program also features a built-in video player, search engine, preview mode and a VU meter. You may enable or disable the loop mode, and set a cue point.
