It offers something ready-made that can be used out of the box. It also makes it easy to customize a lot through customization/ configuration choices. This is the XML file which can help set a range of parameters to customize the show to a large extent. The USP, if you like, of this product is that by default it shows images full screen. Most of the other banner rotators, slideshows usually take up less space and have a full screen mode. Once again, like most such products you can supply the images through the XML file. While the default show pattern is sequential, you could randomize the order through the XML. The preloader background, alpha, height, yposition, etc. can be set through the XML again. You could optionally show a delay timer and run or stop the show through the XML file. You could use FlashVars for setting different parameters also. Slider controls can be shown or hidden based on the XML settings. While the show runs automatically as a default, these arrows can be used by the viewer to move the show along. The images used can be of JPG, GIF, PNG or even a SWF formatted element. Without a frame or a media player like background, this does not have enough impact and the stickiness this could introduce is not very strong.
