Free Slideshow Maker allows you to create stunning presentations from your photo collections, complete with background audio and transition effects. The program is so easy to use that even beginners can create fantastic slideshows in just a few steps. Besides, the program is designed to produce lightweight presentations that you can share and distribute very easily, through various means. The program offers a very simple user interface where all the elements are self-explained. You have a box where you can add as many source image files as you want to include in your presentation. Note that all the major image file formats are supported. Optionally, you can select an audio file to be included as background audio for your presentation. Once again, all major audio file formats are supported here. Besides, you can also configure the transition delay in seconds, the frame rate (among 30/1, 25/1 and 15/1), and the frame size (among 320x240, 640x480, and 1280x960). As for the transition effects, the program simply allows you to select whether to apply random effects or not. If you choose not to, the program will select a transition effect for you, which will be applied to your entire presentation. Unfortunately, Free Slideshow Maker does not give you the chance to select your preferred transition effect(s), which I would say is the major downside of this program. Finally, you need to select an output folder and a file name for your presentation before starting the slideshow creation task. You can select whether to preview the presentation during the process or not. The program generates a video file in AVI format, containing your presentation. Unfortunately, you can neither change the output format nor the settings of the resulting video file. To conclude, I would say that Free Slideshow Maker is a free efficient tool that will allow you to create simple presentations using your photos, as long as your preferences are not too specific.
